It list that he lived at New London till 1873, Willimantic 1873-1892, Malden MA 1892-1894, Waterford 1894-1896, Bozrah, CT 1896-1900, Waterbury 1901, Norwich 1901- at least 1907, but died in 1909 in Bridgeport. Lived with Belle Shaffer for at least 30 years. Put X for name.

Ambrose Lester's (Helen Maxson Shaffer's second husband) civil war pension file included Emery Shaffer's death cert (died of heart disease) and info about his civil war service.
